We are a dental clinic focused on building trust within the community. There is no hard sell at our practice. You want your teeth to stay with you for as long as possible pain free. Our goal is to help you achieve that. We believe that nothing is better than chewing with your own set of teeth.

Our Team
Dr. Joey Yu – Dentist
Dr. Joey Yu graduated from New York University College of Dentistry with advanced training in complex extractions and completed implant residency from University of Toronto. He is experienced working with adults and children of all ages with a focus on early childhood caries. He has chosen Riverview Dental Care as his permanent dental home and looks forward to sharing his passion in dentistry with the Bowmanville community.
Raquelle – Administrator
Raquelle received a Bachelors of Business Administration from Trent University. She is the first face you see when you walk in and prides herself in being friendly and personable; beginning your dental experience on the right foot. Raquelle enjoys being creative doing the office social media with the help of her colleagues. When she is not at work she fills her time hanging out with her cat, Joe and her dog, Ramsey.
Marisa – Dental Assistant
Marisa received her Marketing Diploma from Durham College and later went on to complete the Dental Assisting level II program at the same institute. She works hard to make every patient’s encounter at the office a good one by getting to know patients, creating a pleasant environment. When Marisa is not working she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, going shopping, and hanging out at her trailer in the summer.
Jammie-Lee – Dental Assistant
Jammie grew up in Bowmanville and graduated from Durham College as a level II Dental Assistant. Making patients feel comfortable is important to Jammie, and she loves working with Dr. Joey to make the best experience for her patients. When she is not assisting, she loves spending time baking and cooking with fresh ingredients from her garden.
Amanda – Hygienist
Amanda completed her Dental Hygiene diploma in 2009 and divides her time as a Dental Hygienist and as an Orthodontic Hygienist. She strives to make your visit to the dental office a pleasant one by providing a friendly and thorough experience while helping achieve your oral hygiene goals. Amanda lives in Bowmanville with her family and enjoys spending time with her husband and 3 children doing all the cute festivals Bowmanville has to offer.
Rachel – Hygienist
Rachel graduated from Durham College with an advanced diploma in Dental Hygiene in 2015. She is very passionate about her career and strives to create an environment where her patients feel comfortable and relaxed in her chair. When Rachel is not at the office she can be found at the gym, catching up with friends, and at home with her two kitties!
Nicole – Hygienist
Nicole has 15 years experience working in the dental field, and has been at Riverview since the office opened in Bowmanville, first as an assistant and then as a dental hygienist. She graduated from Durham college for both dental assisting and dental hygiene. She has a passion for teaching, also receiving her Bachelors of arts – Adult Education Digital Technology Specialization from Ontario Tech University. Additionally, Nicole works at Oxford College teaching future dental hygienists. She takes pride in being knowledgeable about proper dental care and providing the best treatment for all of her patients. When she is not working, Nicole appreciates going on new adventures, whether that is exploring locally or traveling abroad.
Janine – Hygienist
Janine graduated from Trent University with a Bachelors of Arts and Sciences, then went on to complete the Dental Hygiene program at Durham College. Janine loves using her upbeat and positive attitude to make patients’ experience pleasant. She enjoys working in Bowmanville for its small town charm, it reminds her of home. Janine delights in spending time outside doing things like knitting and reading.
Lydia – Hygienist
Lydia graduated from the Dental Assisting program at Durham College and later went on to complete the Dental Hygiene program. Lydia prides herself on being very understanding and friendly, always having a smile on her face. She recognizes the importance of working with patients to make sure their dental experience is as comfortable as possible. Outside of work, Lydia loves spending time with her family, whether going on long walks to the park with her kids and their dog or spending weekends at the trailer.
