To say the staff here are amazing is an understatement! This was my first visit and the staff were amazing from the start. When I called to book the apt, they were very kind and reassuring on the phone as I explained I have extreme anxiety at the dentist. When I came for my apt, the dentist told me he had to do a filling. I was VERY nervous and afraid, but he and all the staff were very calming and understanding. He explained everything to me and encouraged me to get it over with right then and there. Throughout the procedure, they checked on me and made sure I was comfortable and even put on some tranquil music. When I started to panic, they were all so kind and helped me calm back down. The patience of the dentist and the compassion of the whole team was incredible. I didn’t catch everyone’s name, but the whole vibe of this team is just awesome and I am so grateful for all of them. I just feel bad now that they are stuck with me. 🤭Oct 21/2025It won’t let me write a second review, so I am adding to this one. I have returned to riverview dental a few times now and I can’t express enough how fricking amazing they all are! Dr. Joey is so good at bringing down the anxiety and has such a calming energy. I didn’t get the name of the assistant, but they are so so kind, pleasant, and compassionate. The BEST!
Amazing clinic, Lovely and Friendly staff.Treating my whole family like their family.Adi is really Friendly and hardworking doctor.He did my teeth cleaning very well and smoothly.Thanks to all of the staff.
Great office. The staff is really friendly. My hygienist Nicole always does an amazing job.
I always dreaded going to the dentist, but this is the first place I've actually learned to relax and enjoy the experience. Nicole always cleans my teeth and does a great job. She's made going to the dentist office like a trip to visit a friend.
My experience here has been excellent. The care and attention to the patients need is well above expectations. I have had many visits here is recent years and all have been professional and yet the personal attention is most welcomed.
Had a great experience here. Dr Joey handled my worries, nerves and anxiety well. The hygienists and front staff make the office very welcoming and fun. Easiest and best dental experience ever.
Amazing experience with this office, the staff is so friendly & I always feel so welcome when I come, Dr Joey is very gentle and thorough, both Janine & Nicole are great hygienists that make the scary dental experience better!
Will be going again and will bring my kid next time too! The doctor and hygienist were super patient and professional, did not feel pain or soreness at all. The staffs were welcoming and the clinic was super clean, highly recommend!
Amazing Clinic! From location in Bowmanville to every staff, the experience has been very positive for me. Every interaction so far has been above and beyond of professionalism, sympathy and support, from the receptionist, assistant, the dentist to the dental hygienist. Definitely recommending it.
I've gone to multiple dentists for my "difficult" teeth, finally found Dr. Joey Yu here who knows what he's doing. I've had all my wisdom teeth extracted by Dr. Yu and it was the best experience. Staff here are also wonderful. I would 100% recommend this clinic!
Please disregard the account name as this review is from Andrew Rice. I live in the neighbourhood of Dr Joey’s Bowmanville practice. In the last few days, I have had increasing tooth discomfort. Ahead of leaving town I wanted my tooth checked but I could not get into my prior dentist.Dr Joey’s staff were warm and welcoming on a Friday at 4pm when I walked into their office. Dr Joey quickly identified and explained the issue and how best to treat. It was a very comfortable, and professional conversation with no pressure to proceed. Thank you for seeing me on short notice with such professionalism.
My two young kids went to see Dr. Joey for their initial dental cleaning and examination, and loved it there. Dr. Joey is excellent with kids and is very detailed in his work. I'd highly recommended this dental office!
I have had 2 fillings and a cleaning done. My mouth does not like needles. This place is great. Did not feel the needles or the fillings. If there is a better place I don't know where it is. The hygienist was so good. It had been 15 years since my last cleaning and hardly felt anything. What a good crew. Everyone is so nice. Pleasant experience. Not a comment you usually hear about a trip to the dentist lol. Highly recommend Riverview Dental Care.
Dr. Joey Yu is an excellent dentist. Not only was I able to get a same day appointment to fix my tooth, he even called the next day to check up on how I was doing. He cares more than any other dentist that I've been to. Highly recommend Dr. Joey
I have been a patient at this dental office for a long time now and continue to have great care. My hygienist Amanda is amazing. She is knowledgeable, gentle and always very thorough with my cleanings. I am never pressured for additional procedures and scheduling my appointments is painless. I highly recommend this office.
